STAMP: APNG Support..? by Emotikonz STAMP: APNG Support..? by Emotikonz

YES. THIS STAMP ACTUALLY WORKS. 4 srs

I viewed it in Firfox 3, and it's green (supports). I viewed the SAME IMAGE in Internet Explorer 8, and it's red (does not support).
If your browser doesn't support animated PNG files, it shows only the first (of two) frames, static. And if it does, it doesn't show that first frame - leaving only the second, static frame.

THIS STAMP DOES NOT LIE :noes:
So, add it your journal CSS right away and spread the knowledge across TEH INT3RN3TZ. :meow:

Wow amazing how does she do it inspiring fantastic etc
...oh, you are too kind. :aww:

So...
do you see
    :bulletred:RED:bulletred:...?
      OR
        :bulletgreen:GREEN:bulletgreen:
          ...?

Seeing this, I have some quite interesting information to share that I just found:
1. Safari 8 supports apng now
2. There is a kickstarter campaign by Rei Kagetsuki to make apng more popular

I really hope more people will get to know apng, gifs can be pretty annoying to make.

Those are animated .gif files, not .apng - they're different formats altogether.
.gif can only support FULL transparency and full opacity, but .png (and .apng) preserve all colour layers, including transparency (the 'alpha channel), seperately, and can support colours that are see-through.

MIND BLOWN: In Google chrome, I see it red and it says: your browser doesn't support APNG. animated png.
In Firefox, I see it green and it says: your browser does support APNG. animated png.

The first frame is only displayed if it cannot be animated - if it can then all the following frames are animated (without the first). This only has two frames, so if it can't be animated it shows the first frame (red), if it can it starts from the second 'only' frame (green)
