Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

You can only change your username every six months

All links to your old name will redirect to the new one

Old names cannot be retaken by anyone (including yourself! Once you change it is for good)

Though people who want to be taken seriously on dA (yet called themselves "lololBUTTS") will rejoice, I have concerns.... for one reason, it makes you very hard to find if people are still referring to you by your old name. For another, it will confuse the hell out of your watchers - and if they don't know who you are, they may remove you in their next +watch purge. And three... I worry people will feel less pressure to actually THINK ABOUT what they are calling themselves, because they can always change it.
That and I worry they will change it for silly reasons.

These are the only reasons I think people should change them. Note, they are MY reasons, not dA guidleines:

No one remembers how to spell it eg "Karfiliangon"

It's full of numbers, eg "7JoeBloggs16533"

You made it when young and naive (or tarded), eg XoXiLuvPuppiesXoX

Maybe you sold your username rights for a millions bucks, lul I dunno

...and do NOT change them because

you 'felt like a change'

you are 'testing the feature' (remember you can't change it back, and SIX MOOOONTHS)

you want to confuse/troll watchers

Of course, you're free to do what you want with your username. Just... use your head... I'll probably be changing my alternate's name at some point, *Karsciyin, because no one can spell it.

I think the key is the avatar. If people change their name, they need to keep their avatar, or else it's a dead-end.

I'm already so confused by all the username changes, but this is a feature requested for SOOOO long by many people, I do support it because I think it's a benefit. I read somewhere statistically that like 70% of deactivated accounts are because people wanted a different username.

I have been Mirz since 1998 on the internet. No sense in changing it now.
